HIGHLIGHTS of the 100th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The BBYC 100th Anniversary Committee, MaryAnn Deering, Peter
Ljungqvist and Hank Maust planned and organized special events for our
celebration. Peter designed a 100th Anniversary logo which
will be used on the website, yearbook, letterhead, invitation, and
apparel sold in the Ship’s Store. The celebration kicks off at the
champagne Commissioning Party on Sunday, May 28. The Village of Bellport
agreed to close the dock in front of the club for the half hour of a
more formal flag raising ceremony. All members are requested to dress in
blazers and more formal attire for this once in a life time occasion.
Ceremony detail is outlined on the invitation. A banner designed by
MaryAnn and produced by Glenn Fujii will be unveiled on the club porch.
Village officials graciously granted permission to hang the banner
across South Country Road later in July through Labor Day.
